Black Oud at twenty-five percent, in a bottle blown by hand. Cardamom and black pepper over oud and sandalwood, settling into dark vanilla and amber. Noticed at close range. Present across a room, never loud. Made in England.

Notes

Top notes: cardamom, black pepper.

Heart notes: oud, sandalwood, cedarwood, patchouli, vetiver.

Base notes: vanilla, tonka bean, musks, amber.

Composition

Made in England, in small batches. Vegan and cruelty-free. Eau de parfum at twenty-five percent concentration.

Ingredients

Alcohol Denat., Parfum (Fragrance), Aqua (Water), Tetramethyl Acetyloctahydronaphthalenes, Pogostemon Cablin Oil, Linalyl Acetate, Hexamethylindanopyran, Beta-Caryophyllene, Cedrus Atlantica Oil/Extract, Citrus Limon Peel Oil, Pinene, Limonene, Linalool, Terpineol, Benzyl Alcohol, Carvone, Juniperus Virginiana Oil.

How to wear

Three to four sprays on the neck and wrists, before a word is spoken. It opens sharp, turns warm within the hour, and stays close. Last in the routine, after the shampoo, the oil and the balm.

The Fragrance

Deep, woody, reserved

Black Oud opens with cardamom and black pepper, a sharp, clean lift that turns warm within the hour. At its centre, oud and sandalwood: a resin formed over years in the Aquilaria tree, steadied by wood. It settles into dark vanilla and amber, the warmth that stays. Noticed at close range. Present across a room, never loud.
